An intruder detection system is designed to ensure the detection of, and assist in the apprehension of intruders. An intruder's best opportunities arise when the building is unoccupied β at night, atweekends and during holidays. At these times of greatest vulnerability, electronic security measures must come into play.
Access Control & Intruder Detection
This system works in such a way that any movement within the protected area is detected by an infra red detector and the information is sent to the control panel which interprets it and sends appropriate signals to a master blaster to the create awareness of intrusion.
Our fire hydrants have the following features
Intelligent System Controller
This serves as the predominant access control Engine. It communicates to the central database via an Ethernet TCP/IP LAN connection, direct connection, and even via Modem dial-up communication. It supports a minimum of 20,000 cardholders and 35,000 events. This allows it to make access control decisions and store event transactions even when communication is lost with the host PC.
Reader Interface Module
This provides a link between the Intelligent System Controller and the Card reader. It communicates access requests from the reader to the controller. The reader interface module also comes with the capacity to support Proximity, Magnetic/Swipe, Pin/keypad, Biometrics, Smart Cards and Finger Print Verification Readers. In all, it can simultaneously support various card formats.
This is the brain behind the system. It is used in System configuration and monitoring, allowing other OnGuard application modules to be seamlessly integrated into the Access control module. The Software is designed to run in any Windows NT/2000 operating environment and is Microsoft Gold Certified, ensuring compatibility.
ISC Display Console - The Clock is ideal for Time and Attendance applications where the Access Control Systems time must be displayed. It adds time of day display to Access Control and Time & Attendance Systems and can be displayed in the Standard or Military Time Formats. Up to 32 clocks can be driven from one time source over a single twisted pair network. The enclosure is weather resistant making it ideal for exterior installation.

With its powerful print engine and 4MB of RAM, the DTC 500 series can breeze through 133 colour cards, or over 500 monochrome cards per hour.
Using Badge-Designer software, system operators can quickly and efficiently create professional, high quality badge layouts, incorporating text, colours, graphics, shapes, photos, logos and barcode badge elements. OnGuard Badge-Designer offers enormous flexibility and power with a straightforward user interface.
Door Lock and Release Devices
Electro-Magnetic Lock It is the main door lock device that operates by constant supply of voltage to the magnet that generates the magnetic locking force.
Magnetic Door Switch / Contact - It is a door monitoring device that operates as normally closed switch from the magnetic field contact by constant supply of voltage to the powered magnet and will initiate an alarm sending 12VDC / 24VDC signal to a buzzer or sounder when the magnets are displaced from the initial / original position.
Standard Door Closer It is mechanical spring loaded device that is operated in an opposing force return the door to state of rest whenever it opens.
Request to Exit Button It is a switch button directly connected the card reader / reader interface to send signal to lock devices to open.
Green Manual Call point (MCP) It operates as normally closed switch and open when the glass cover is broken as a result of 37 emergence. It is installed in a straight connection with Door lock devices, which by breaking the glass opens the lock in case card reader fails to open the locks.
Proximity Reader Power rating for system is either 12VDC or 24VDC that supply power to different electronic devices based on their power consumption.
